  1. Isn't that dangerous to go there? for anything but the smallest visit, and you should still had RAD detecters on your person.

  2. I planned on going there years before the show came out but now a ton of people are going, guess I have to wait a few more years to get the full experience.

  3. It's the wild squeal of Hillary laughing from the 100s of millions they gave her for 20% of USA uranium

  4. You know CNN if you weren't funded by the clowns which is the CIA if you're too stupid to understand this you would be shut down are taxpayers are paying your salaries but don't worry it's all going to be over soon f**** scum balls

  5. After playing Fallout for like 10000 hours,i know what's gonna happen to them. A big old Deathclaw is gonna show up and swipe at them over and over and they're gonna keep dying and having to restart at the last save point over and over

  7. I wouldn't go there for a second. Just a reminder, radiation can cause birth defects, genetic defects, premature aging and cancer.

  8. Trampling thru…tourist hordes…really do you have to be so dramatic? How about saying the truth without your ignorant drama queen nonsense like… groups of tourist guided through chernoble. Was that so hard to do? Did you need the bs?

  9. This is beyond idiotic! All it takes is a SINGLE genetic mutation due to radiation exposure making it past all your body's safety mechanisms to initiate cancer. OR, think of any woman who is pregnant going into the more irradiated zones. The mutations that child is more likely to express due to the radiation.

My parents were in Germany when the Chernobyl incident happened. My mom was in the later stages of her pregnancy when it happened. My eldest brother was born legally blind because of the fallout. Other women who were in the early stages of their pregnancy gave birth to children who would later die. My mom told me stories of how the army would send her and other mothers back to the states so their babies could receive medical care. Many of those moms knew their child would later die, but my mom made sure they gave their kids all the love amd comfort they could before that happened.

The trivialization of what happened it beyond disrespectful.

  10. There are a lot of comments going on about the radiation and natural selection, blah, blah. Stop showing your ignorance, its safe to visit for a short period of time, just not for a prolonged period. You do know that they have placed 2 barriers over the top since the event. The second one completed by a massive international team of specialists and experts from all over the world, including USA and UK

  11. I watched the first and a small part of the second episode of " Chernobyl". Horror movies not for me, I remember the scenes on the news in real time. Not entertainment, and as for visiting the site, whist I'm curious as to how it turned out, pictures are enough for me.

  12. It's quite safe if you pay attention — there are lots of good videos -of tours – I have selected some to watch https://majlinks.com/chernobyltour2

  13. I am an American living in Latvia just 700 or so miles northwest of Chernobyl and I have found the experience soul searching.
What fascinates me is the tightrope balance between Truth and lies and what kind of truth (mixed lies) were told to the public – click to read more

From time code 56 minutes of HBO episode 5 the following…

    FOOD for Thought….

… because of our secrets and our lies they are practically what define us … when the truth offends, we lie and lie until we can no longer remember that it is even there but it is still there. Every lie we tell incurs a debt to the truth and sooner or later that debt is paid.

Other POWERFUL words: In 2006, Mikhail Gorbachev wrote that the nuclear meltdown at Chernobyl … "was perhaps the true cause of the collapse of the Soviet Union"

What also worries me is the parallel with what happened in the Soviet Union in 1986 and what is happening in Washington DC now.

  14. Well, if you go there you must be stupid, that’s the first thing. Second thing is you should not plan to have children after you go there. The other thing is you go there when you’re old and no use to humans. Overall you have to be stupid to go there.

  15. Your not allowed anywhere near number 4 reactor Chernobyl nuclear power station. The city they are visiting is Pripyat not Chernobyl why do so many people get this wrong including CNN……

  16. Did not even mention that this is in Ukraine, you just said ''in the former soviet union''. What a disgusting pathetic fake news media. I hope you all burn from radiation and die. Deceptive animals.

  17. Call of Duty, (the video game) fans, have all been there already, and know the area inside out. I think I’ll leave it at that, though. I barely got out alive, before I was airlifted out of my last shootout there. But, there’s something Darwinian, about these idiots, killing themselves off in droves. Fewer poor taste idiots, means more room for the rest of us 🙂

  18. It's not that terrible to go there. You just can't stay there for long. Don't go on a second trip.
And if you want to minimize radiation, go in the late winter, preferably when there's lots of snow. Snow covers most of the radiated ground which will minimize your exposure. Stay safe.

  19. All these mfs coming home with 3 eyes, 5 testicles, 2 heads and 7 tits. Bunch of mutated Baphomets. Good luck to ya!

  20. OMG. They actually believe that the radiation exposure is NOT harmful❓ The RUSSIANS are proven to be SO truthful, right❓😂

  21. This is so low. So many people suffered. This place should be closed off to the public. They just go there to say "i was there…" stupid idea! The russians dont understand why people eant to visit this place where many of their loved passed a horrible slow death. Shame on you people.

  22. What a bunch of idiots. The same as smoking 3 cigarettes?? Yeah, if the cigarettes are 20ft long and 3ft in diameter. But now they’ll all go home, exercise, eat healthy and 10yrs from now they’ll all wonder why they got cancer. It’s true…..you can’t fix stupid.

  23. Let them go! There are too many people in the world and most of these tools seem to have money enough to throw into a vacation to a radioactive hell pit. Just the same as those pricks going up Everest. I'm fine with them going up, as long as they do it on their own & they haven't hired a team of Shirpas to carry their glamping equipment for them, risking the lives of others just because they wanna tick something off their bucket lists. The middle classes. More money than sense, it seems.

  24. WTF,what is wrong with those people ? Don't they know that Chernobyl is still a great danger to the society and to Earth, not to mention that it is a bit rude to go there and have some photos or to have some fun there.A lot of people had died and many of them were evacuated and in doing this they lost everything they had.Excuse me if you think that I'm rude or that I'm overreacting but I found it stupid to visit Chernobyl just to see better what has happend there or to take a f…ing picture just to show off or to have some fun. If you're so interested about what happend to Chernobyl than why don't you visit other danger zone places like: Ilha da Queimada Granda aka Snake Island,Lascaux Caves in France,North Sentinen Island in India or even Area 51 !

  25. I hope this become even more popular, a good way to eliminate stupid people. We already got too many of them

  26. Important that we take a fact and data-oriented, educational approach to nuclear energy today and in future contexts. Because now, when properly managed, with modern reactors, it's the safest and cleanest and most environmentally sound energy source wr have. That includes solar, wind and hydro in the equation.

And there's just no safe future without it in the mix.

We really should be working harder towards thorium molten salt reactors though.

  27. GG even the police that guard the checkpoint completely cover their skin even they are well beyond exclusion zone because they know the effects of radiation

  28. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/meet-ukrainians-who-refused-leave-7807309
Only two Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant workers were killed. Ground clearance has taken 29 more lives. Long term casualties are propaganda war tools. That is "the worst nuclear disaster" and now let's see Hiroshima, Nagasaki or Fukushima.
And Chernobyl is in UKRAINE, same people lived there 30 years ago, during USSR, UKRAINIANS. Yes, there were some Russians, to but there were some Lithuanians, Georgians, Belorussians, Estonians …. too. It is very easy to sell shi*y propaganda to inbred Americans.

  29. There's no denying the stupidity of the mass tourist nor the masses in general. It's time to start limiting tourism.

  30. "The site of the worst nuclear disaster in history" is NOT in Russia. Why does CNN display a map pointing to Moscow and does NOT show its audience that Chernobyl is in Ukraine very cloe to Kyev? Please be accurate in your reports. The Soviet Union does NOT exist anymore.

  31. wake up people. Radiation is now what they tell you.. How come there are no 2 headed animals walking around. How come all is good except for the beeping of a gigercounter

  32. And of cause CNN failed to tell us that in a modern world its not only the government lies that can screw us all but corporations. But guess what – CNN is a corporation. Never lying, never hiding the truth….. The hypocrisy here. How deeply brainwashed they think we are

  33. I feel bad that people even are allowed to visit Chernobyl i feel that a place Where always everyone who looked out on the explosion that day died later of radiactive poisining is just a place that should be kept secret and out of public.

And the series have made also many errors and made things look in another way which have made allot of people mad
