No. of travelers between Korea and Japan 34% lower in last week of Aug. than first week of July

South Korean airports have seen a fall in
the number of people traveling to and from Japan. According to the Korea Airports Corporation,…
seven local airports saw a 34 percent decline in passengers on Japan flights in the last
week of August compared to the first week of July. There were only 100-thousand in the last week
of August. The number of flights were also cut by 19
percent. A nationwide boycott of Japanese products
and services has led to the fall in travel to Japan..

  1. The Korean LCC operators are doomed due to their own people boycotting fligts. It is the basic rule of airline business that they must keep their planes up in the air flying for the business/investors to stay afloat to sustain or go under. Simple as that. First to go under are of the Korean origines.

  2. The visitors to Japan got increased. It seems like only Korean airlines fucked up their business. Be aware! Very cold winter is coming to your tiny peninsula!
