reported that a large drop in spending by South Korean visitors is damaging

boycott movement started some 1,100 Koreans cancelled their reservations at
Japan’s traditional hotels in Oita prefecture a popular tourist destination
with hot springs the report also said the number of South Korean visitors to
Japan has decreased by 10 percent in July compared to the same period last
year citing data from Japan’s largest travel agency JTB Corp reservations for
the jet ferry that runs between Busan and Osaka have fallen to one-third of
the usual amount and many Korean low-cost carriers have decided to cancel
their scheduled flights to Japan Japanese retailers are also suffering
from the boycott one of the largest shopping outlets in Fukuoka so sales
decreased by 25% during the week of to July 23rd compared to the year before
other major Japanese firms like açaí and Kirin breweries have pulled their TV
advertisement from South Korea and Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo also saw
falling sales in July however the polka movement is spreading
to wider areas in south korea in addition to customers not buying
Japanese product many retail shops and traditional markets have declared that
they will not sell Japanese product South Korea’s logistics Association also
announced that they will not deliver specific Japanese brands with the trade
conflict between two countries still lingering the boycott and its impact on

  1. The 2020 Tokyo Radiological Olympics.. We MUST boycott!
    Because it provides radioactive food and fish to all foreigners and Olympic athletes. The Olympics are held every four years, but there is only one LIFE!
    The Japanese government said all foreigners should eat Fukushima-based radioactive rice and fish.

  2. Japan exports to China and US market dwarfs that of South Korea. Also Chinese tourists still dominates the most tourist to Japan. If Koreans want to boycott Japan because of a decision made by a few politician which is not even about cutting off export completely, its the individual that will suffer. These boycotts won't mean anything to the government, and if the anti-Japanese sentiment expand to violence against Japanese people then those that were favorable and neutral will view Korea as enemies.
