AGENCY, SO IT GETS MORE FREEDOM THAN OTHER ACCOUNTABLE AND LESS PREPARED, ALLOWING ITS CONTRACTORS TO “UNDERPERFORM AND MAINLAND ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY “A-E-G” MANAGES THE HAWAII A-E-G IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT RECEIPTS IN ORDER TO BE REIMBURSED. AUDITORS SPENT 7 MONTHS GOING THROUGH RECEIPTS AND DOCUMENTS… AND NOTICED A-E-G DID NOT SUBMIT RECEIPTS FOR MORIMOTOS. SOME RECEIPTS THAT WERE SUBMITTED CLASS AIRFARE… OVER 400 PER NIGHT HOTEL ROOMS, COMPARED TO OTHER EMPLOYEES LODGING AT AN AVERAGE OF 266 DOLLARS PER H-T-A BOARD CHAIRMAN RICK FRIED TELLS ME HE APPRECIATES THE AUDITOR’S FINDINGS AND THERE’S ALWAYS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT… BUT SINCE. LES KONDO: “It’s public money, and that’s our public finding. They’re a public agency. they have to be more accountable, have to be more responsible with HAVE NOT YET HEARD BACK.   1. Mahalo to the auditor. Now how do we move forward in holding these people accountable? If (as auditor said) theres no proof that the spending was necessary or needed, it should be paid back. If the spending was extravagant or excessive, it should be paid back. This is Hawai'i tax payers hard earned money. Im sure Hawai'i residents wish they could afford first class airfare & $400 a night hotels. Whoever is doing this needs to be fired & pay it back. Just because they supposedly fixed the issue now, doesnt mean past misuse of funds gets forgotten.
